WMS WINTER TRYOUTS

 

All winter sports start in November. Any player wishing to try out must have a completed Parent Consent Form.  The consent can be found clicking the previous link or on the WMS athletics page titled General Information. If your child is selected to participate on a team, a sports physical is required for them to participate further. 

Below is the list of tryout dates and times. Students are only allowed to tryout for one team per season. Athletes should attend all the tryouts.

Boys Basketball (2:30-4:00, WMS Gym) ***Subject to Change***

Monday, November 6th

Tuesday, November 7th

Wednesday, November 8th (First Cuts Made)

Thursday, November 9th (Final Cuts Made) 

***All athletes trying out should wear basketball shorts and an athletic shirt for tryouts. All athletes trying out should bring basketball shoes and a water bottle.


Girls Basketball (4:00-5:30, WMS Gym) ***Subject to Change***

Monday, November 6th

Wrestling

Wrestling begins on Monday, November 13th. Athletes should bring shorts, pants, an athletic shirt, sneakers, and water to practice. Wrestling is not a tryout sport. All athletes that come out to practice make the team. The team starts practicing on the first day. Any student who tries out for another team, but does not make that team, can join the wrestling team up until Friday, November 17th. The team and practices are open to all student-athletes. Student-athletes are not required to attend all meets.
